Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is reportedly hosting a coalition meeting with some senators from the All Progressives Congress in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
According to Naija News, the meeting includes notable figures such as Senator Ishaku Abbo, Senator Aishatu Binani, and several other APC chieftains.
Atiku, who was the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 election, arrived at Yola International Airport on his private jet at 12:48 p.m. He was greeted by Senator Abbo, after which his convoy proceeded to the American University of Nigeria Hotel, the venue for the coalition meeting.
A close associate of Senator Binani, the APC governorship candidate in Adamawa, confirmed the development to Punch, noting that Binani is part of the coalition, though specific details about the meeting remain undisclosed. The aide, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “Since you see me here, it is clear that my principal is among the team leaders. She is engaged at the moment, but at the next meeting, you will see her.”
