On Thursday, the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, met with the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.=, in the United Kingdom on Thursday.
This is coming many hours after Wike met with former president Olusegun Obasanjo, and Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.
Premium Politics reports that the meeting is coming barely three days after Wike met with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Reports revealed that Atiku’s meeting with Wike took place in London on Thursday.
Although the details of the meeting were undisclosed, it’s been speculated that the meeting was a part of the efforts to reconcile Wike and Atiku.
Atiku’s selection of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as his running mate over Wike after the PDP presidential primary which the latter won in May has led to a crisis within the party.
Governors Samuel Ortom of Benue State; Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Abia State’s Okezie Ikpeazu were pictured together with Atiku and Wike during the meeting.
