United States President, Joe Biden, has signed a temporary spending bill to avert a potential government shutdown.
He emphasised the significance of the bill for the country as he underscored the urgent need for further action.
Biden disclosed this in a statement issued via his X handle on Friday.
He wrote: “Last night I signed a bill preventing a government shutdown. It’s an important step but we have more to do. I urge Congress to address our national security and domestic needs — and House Republicans to stop wasting time on extreme bills and honour our bipartisan budget agreement.”
