The immediate former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed how his love for Reggae music was inspired by the late reggae music star, Bob Marley.
Stating this through a post on his X handle (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, El-Rufai who described the late German legend as one of the most talented musicians of all time, said his love for reggae music is connected to his songs and music.
“Bob Marley of the blessed memory is one of the most talented musicians of all time. My love for reggae music is connected with his songs and music,” El-Rufai tweeted.
The former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory however specified that one of Marley’s songs, ‘Who The Cap Fit,’ is one of his favourites.
“Who The Cap Fit – Bob Marley & The Wailers is one of my favourites from the 1970s.
“Enjoy your Sunday with the song and lyrics that are timeless,” he added.
He further showed his love for the music, by sharing some lyrics of the song: “Man to man is so unjust, children. Ya don’t know who to trust. Your worst enemy could be your best friend. And your best friend, your worst enemy,” he shared.
El-Rufai has been constantly in the news recently, following their nomination as one of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominees.
Immediately after his nomination, different allegations started flying around, as to why El-Rufai should not be appointed as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
However, the did was finally done when the Senate refused to confirm his appointment alongside the other 2 nominees, out of the 48 names submitted by the President, citing security reasons, as why he could not be cleared immediately.
A lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Karimi, had called the attention of his colleagues to an alleged petition written against him the El-Rufai, bordering on insecurity in Southern Kaduna.
While the other 45 ministerial nominees were cleared, El-Rufai, Abubakar Danladi and Stella Okotete from Delta State were all left uncleared over security issues.
