The deputy comptroller of finance administration and technical service at the Nigeria Customs Service, Essien Etop Andrew, has passed away.
This tragic event occurred during a session with the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts, where Andrew was responding to questions.
According to The CABLE, “the customs officer was fielding questions from members of the house of representatives committee on public account when he coughed and slumped.”
Despite being quickly taken to the National Assembly clinic, medical personnel confirmed his death upon arrival.
