The All Progressives Congress in Zamfara has called on residents to maintain their fervent prayers for peace and stability in the state during the EID Kabir celebrations.
Zamfara, a state that has faced significant challenges due to insecurity, sees this period as a crucial time for communal and spiritual reflection.
The APC’s Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris, issued a statement emphasizing the importance of gratitude and prayer in these trying times.
The Party said, “Many have had plans for this season but by Allah’s special grace, they have not lived to see this day, so we thank Allah for counting us among the living.”
The statement further encouraged residents, saying, “Let’s continue to pray to Allah for His guidance, protection, and progress in our lives and our communities.”
Reflecting on the significance of the festive period, the statement urged the Muslim Ummah to use this time for sober reflection, to strengthen their relationship with Allah, and to remain pious and kind to one another. The APC reiterated its commitment to the community, promising to stay close to the people through acts of generosity and goodwill.
Addressing the ongoing insecurity challenges in Zamfara, the party called for intensified prayers, urging everyone to seek divine intervention.
“The party also wishes to urge the Muslim faithful to intensify more prayers of unity, peace, and understanding to end insecurity in the state and beyond,” the statement concluded.
