Femi Adesina, a former spokesman to the immediate former President Muhammadu Buhari, has chastised the Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, over his latest outburst on Buhari.
Adesina who knocked the man of God through a post on his Twitter account, stated that Bishop Kukah was pained that he never got “under-the-cassock patronage from Buhari.”
Premium Politics reported on Monday, that Kukah said Nigeria witnessed the ugliest phase of corruption during Buhari’s administration.
He stated that the trend of corruption didn’t start under Buhari, that it festered under the ex-President’s watch.
The Bishop disclosed this in Ado Ekiti while delivering a lecture at the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the call to bar of the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Aare Afe Babalola.
However, in his reaction to the Bishop’s statement, Adesina wrote on Twitter: “Who listens to that Bishop again? He’s still pained that he got no under-the-cassock patronage from Buhari, unlike in the past. As e dey pain them, e dey sweet us.”
