The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has reassured of the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to defeating banditry and restoring lasting peace in the North-West.
During a security engagement in Sokoto State, Matawalle oversaw the handover of 10 operational vehicles to military forces. The vehicles, donated by the Sokoto State Government, are expected to enhance the operational capacity of forces in the region, according to The Sun.
The minister commended the Sokoto State Government for its consistent support, emphasizing the need for collective effort in achieving national security. He noted that the donated vehicles would improve operational mobility and efficiency.
Matawalle also received an operational briefing from the Air Component of Joint Operation Hadarin Daji. He lauded the precision and effectiveness of recent air and ground operations, which have neutralized several high-profile bandit leaders.
The Federal Government has pledged to sustain support for military forces to ensure victory over banditry. Matawalle’s commitment aligns with regional efforts to restore peace and security.

“The Federal Government will not relent in providing the support you need to sustain these victories. We will not rest until peace is fully restored in the North-West.”
