The Federal Government will on Thursday, commence the payment of its workers salaries for the month of January 2024.
The Accountant General of the Federation, Mrs Oluwatoyin Madein, announced the development in a statement issued by the Director of Press and Public Relations at the office of the Accountant General, Bawa Mokwa on Thursday, amid concerns around the delay of the salary payment.
Mokwa in the statement, noted that the glitch experienced with the Government Integrated Financial Management System platform has been resolved, and workers will start receiving their January salaries.
“We have sorted out the issue, and workers will start receiving their payment starting this Thursday evening,” he said.
