Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Dame Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
Governor Fubara praised Walson-Jack for being a trailblazer and shattering the glass ceiling as an ambassador of the State and the Niger Delta region. He noted her exemplary leadership, integrity, courage, perseverance, and resilience throughout her remarkable career in the Civil Service.
“As you assume duties as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation effective August 14, we are proud of the significant milestone you have achieved in your public service career,” Governor Fubara said.
He commended President Tinubu for his thoughtfulness and belief in merit, emphasizing that the appointment is worthy of emulation. Governor Fubara noted that President Tinubu has demonstrated his commitment to fairness, justice, and national integration while upholding the principles of federal character in his administration.
The Governor expressed hope that Walson-Jack will bring her experience to bear in this assignment and innovation in implementing the service reforms enunciated in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu for the benefit of Nigerians.
