A notable businessman and philanthropist, Prince Tonye Princewill alleged that the current Rivers State government led by Siminalayi Fubara is an extension of the immediate past government led by Nyesom Wike.
Princewill who had contested for the governorship seat under Labour Party in 2015 and Action Congress in 2007 said this while fielding questions from the press yesterday in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
He opined that those who are surprised about the way the government is being run should not do so as both are of the same family.
He, however, expressed optimism that the current government would foster peace and development in the state, according to Leadership.
“For Fubara’s cabinet, I dont know anything about the cabinet. I am not informed but I think that somebody said the SSG is the same and some other positions. I don’t even know who is who. I have taken a very little interest in that; so, I can’t even speak on it.
“People who are surprised about the way the government is being run shouldn’t be surprised at all because to me, it is really an extension of Wike’s government.
“It is the same family; the same house. They have won an election so they have the right to do what they want to do. My hope is that development comes to the state, peace comes to the state,” he said.
