Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has appointed James Atung Kanyip as the new Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs.
This move is part of a broader effort to enhance the state’s governance and improve service delivery.
The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Ibraheem Musa, announced the new appointments in a statement on Saturday. Alongside Kanyip, the Governor appointed Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed as the Commissioner for Finance, Barde Yunana Markus as the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, and Farida Abubakar Ahmed as the Executive Director of Radio at the Kaduna State Media Corporation.
Other notable appointees include Vitus Azuka Ewuzie, who will serve as Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters, and Francis Damina, who will take on the role of Senior Special Assistant for Research and Documentation. Additionally, Victor Mathew Bobai has been appointed Senior Special Assistant for Public Affairs, while Abdulmutallib Isah will serve as Senior Special Assistant for Special Duties. Abdulhaleem Ishaq Ringim has also been appointed as Special Assistant for Economic Matters.
The statement emphasized that these appointments are aimed at rejuvenating Governor Uba Sani’s administration and improving service delivery across various sectors.
All appointments take effect immediately.
