The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba has given the immediate withdrawal order for, the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Barde.
According to Vanguard, this was disclosed through the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, while addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja.
The IGP has also issued an order for the Commissioner of Police in Gombe State, CP Etim Equa, to travel to Adamawa State immediately to ensure the safety of the yet-to-be concluded supplementary governorship poll.
Prior to this, officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission, reconvened at the state collation center in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
It was also gathered that the INEC Administrative Secretary in the state, Adamu Gujungu, who has been tasked with replacing the embattled Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Yunusa Ari, was spotted at the collation center.
