I’ll continue to work for Tinubu, no apologies — Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed his happiness working for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress government. Wike, a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain and the only opposition member in Tinubu’s cabinet, made this statement during the PDP Congress in Port Harcourt. He asserted, “We are fully in government. We are fully in Tinubu’s government. I have no regrets about it, and I will continue to be there. Anybody who is angry should go and hug a transformer.” Wike’s appointment as FCT Minister sparked discussions, with many suggesting it was a reward for his contribution to Tinubu’s victory in Rivers State during the 2023 presidential election. Despite criticisms, Wike remains unapologetic about working for the Tinubu administration and is satisfied with his position.
