The former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, has cleared the air that he is not desperate for any political position.
Kolawole made the comment in reaction to the publication by a group, known as Okun Unity and Progressive Group titled “Your Desperation To Become Kogi SSG Dead on Arrival, Group Expose Ex-Speaker Kolawole.”
Prince Kolawole noted that when he was a Speaker and up till this period, he sees the Secretary to Kogi State Government, Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade as his sister, saying that he will continue to give her that respect.
He urged people to disregard any publication about his desperation for a political position, noting that such publication did not emanate from him, according to Nigerian Tribune.
He applauded Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for reappointing Dr (Mrs) Folashade as the Secretary to Kogi State Government.
He said, “When she was reappointed, I congratulated her for her appointment. She is a sister to me and see no reason people will just sit down and write negative things about me.
“This is the work of my political enemies and mischief makers. When it is time Almighty God will surely answer me. I will never be desperate for any political positions, is only God that gives,” he said.
