Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has congratulated his Imo state counterpart, Hope Uzodimma, on his victory as the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
Alia’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by his spokesman, Tersoo Kula, which described the Imo Uzodimma’s landslide victory as a true reflection of his acceptability by the Imo people.
The Benue governor further described the outcome of the election as heartwarming, adding that the margin of the victory indicated the people’s trust and love in the policies and programmes of the Uzodimma-led APC government in Imo state.
He however assured the newly reelected governor of his unalloyed support and a robust working relationship for the progress of their respective states and Nigeria.
Alia however prayed for Mr Uzodimma’s good health and long political life, while urging him to use the victory as a platform to continue to offer purposeful leadership to the Imo people.
