President Bola Tinubu has described his inauguration as the 16th democratically elected president of Nigeria as the “proudest day of life”.
Tinubu while sharing pictures from the inauguration ceremony through his official Twitter account on Monday evening wrote, “This is the proudest day of my life. But this day does not belong to me, it belongs to you, the people of Nigeria”.
Tinubu was sworn in as the president at Eagle Square in Abuja by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
He replaces the outgone president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), who has now retired back to his home town Daura, Kastina State.
