Iran has reported only “limited damage” following Israeli airstrikes on its territory late Friday, which resulted in multiple explosions across several regions.
Iran’s air defense systems reportedly tracked and countered Israel’s “aggression,” although some areas sustained minor damage, as per a Reuters report.
According to Iranian defense sources, Israeli attacks targeted military centers in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam.
The Israeli military confirmed Saturday that it had completed the air assault, striking key Iranian facilities, including missile production centers, surface-to-air missile arrays, and other military assets in multiple areas.
A military statement from Israel noted, “Based on intelligence, IAF [air force] aircraft struck missile manufacturing facilities used to produce the missiles that Iran fired at the state of Israel over the last year.”
