The Jigawa State House of Assembly has approved and passed a supplementary bill of N44.7bn into law to fund some critical projects and activities of the government in the state.
The approval came as an aftermath of the third reading of the bill, shortly after adopting the report presented by the Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Ibrahim Hamza Adamu, at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, according to Daily Post.
The Majority leader, Lawan Muhammad Dansure moved a motion for the third reading of the budget.
He urged the other members to consider the budget and fast-track the completion of viable projects in the state.
Recall that Governor Umar Namadi forwarded the supplementary appropriation bill of N44.7bn to the state assembly on Tuesday, 22nd June 2023.
