United States President, Joe Biden, has tested negative for COVID-19 after five days in isolation, his physician has said.
According to CNN Politics, Biden took two antigen tests, one on Tuesday evening and one on Wednesday morning, that were both negative, Dr Kevin O’Connor wrote in his letter.
The President will wear a well-fitting mask for 10 days to prevent the spread of the virus, and he will increase the frequency with which he is tested to detect any possible resurgence of the virus.
O’Connor cited the potential for “rebound” after Biden received the antiviral Paxlovid in explaining the more frequent testing.
The President is set to speak at 4:30 pm WES about Covid from the White House’s Rose Garden, according to a White House official.
Premium Politics had reported on June 23, 2022, that Biden tested positive for COVID-19, after experiencing “mild symptoms”.
The White House, in a statement, had said, “Consistent with CDC guidelines, he will isolate at the White House and will continue to carry out all of his duties fully during that time.”
