Kebbi State Deputy Governor Umar Abubakar has assured the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the state of continued support towards maintaining peace and stability.
AIT News reported that the Deputy Governor gave the assurance when he received the Corps Commander of the Nigerian Army Education Corps, Brigadier General Bello Tsoho on a courtesy call in Birnin Kebbi.
He said the government will see to the elevation of two command secondary schools in the state to become the best in the country.
The Corps Commander, in his response lauded the state government’s support for army operations within the state.
Brigadier General Tsoho said their visit was to update the government on the progress and achievements of the Nigerian Army command schools in Goru and Jega.
He informed the state government on the benefits of the schools, not only to the students but also to the overall development of the state.
The Corps Commander reminded the Government of the need to sign the MOU on the running of the schools.
