The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, has emphasized that he will not serve as the sole leader of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State.
Keyamo made this statement while addressing members of the One Delta APC, a political media group of the party, over the weekend.
Keyamo expressed that his primary focus as a party leader is the growth and development of the APC, aiming to foster unity and peace within the party. He believes that such cohesion is crucial for securing victories in future elections, which he prioritizes over holding the title of “sole leader” in the state.
“We need all leaders of the party to work together,” Keyamo said, stressing the importance of collaboration. Despite being the highest appointed political office holder in the Delta State APC, he reiterated his stance of being one among many leaders dedicated to the party’s success.
Keyamo expressed confidence in the party’s potential for future electoral victories and urged all party members to remain steadfast and committed to its development. He also thanked the One Delta APC group for their visit and commended their ongoing efforts, encouraging them to continue their good work with the assurance that their contributions would be recognized and rewarded.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Comrade Akpobome Rufus Ibebe congratulated Keyamo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the APC-led government’s one-year anniversary. Ibebe thanked Keyamo for his accessibility and praised his accomplishments as a minister, pledging the group’s support in uniting the party.
The meeting was also attended by the Special Assistant to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development on Political Affairs, Olorogun Voke Oshasha, and the Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Tunde Mahood. Other notable members of the group present included Pedro Oyesi, Oghogho Orothoma, Pawinger Omonigharwe, Slyvester Oghenevwede, Anthony Olomu, Akpobo Umughare, Omoruan Joy, Innocent Akpojotor, Ese Esiri, Karo Oghogho, and Adams Gloria.
