The 2023 Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi State, Senator Dino Melaye has urged his supporters not to be discouraged with the result of the last Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
Melaye, who assured his followers that his failure at the election was not the end of the battle while reacting to the election via a video clip posted on his social media page, urged them to remain determined and resolute.
Premium Politics reported earlier that Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress defeated Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party and Melaye in last Saturday’s governorship election.
While condemning the conduct of the election, the PDP candidate accused the Independent National Electoral Commission of electoral fraud and rigging in favour of the APC candidate.
Melaye however urged his followers not to be disenchanted, disillusioned, or perturbed over the outcome of the election.
He said: “Just to encourage all my supporters and lovers all over the country and in Kogi State that please don’t be disenchanted, disillusioned, don’t be perturbed, don’t be disturbed, just carry on because, at the end of the day, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
“Be emboldened, be strong, be determined, and be resolute that we will soon overcome. It is not the end of the battle but we are not going to get worried.”
