Some members of the Kwankwasiya Movement occupied the premises of the Supreme Court on Friday, in Abuja.
The Kwankwasiyya’s members stormed the apex court premises to show solidarity with the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, ahead of the appeal filed by the governor, challenging the appeal court judgement, which affirmed Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress, as the governor of the state.
The members of the movement in some pictures posted by the Daily Trust, were seen in their signature, red caps, hanging around the court premises, waiting for the final judgement, on the March 18 governorship election, in the state.
Governor Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party is challenging the appeal court judgement which sacked him as the Kano Governor.
However, the apex court which has earlier given judgment on the election of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has also confirmed Yusuf as the governor of Kano on the keenly anticipated matter of the state, at the time of filing this report.
