The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and serving as Senate Minority Leader, Abba Moro, has urged members of the People’s Democratic Party in Benue State to remain united and loyal to the party.
He emphasized that all past PDP-led administrations have demonstrated superior governance compared to what he described as the current one-man show of the APC-led government in the state.
Senator Moro offered this advice during the party’s caucus meeting held on Monday at the PDP State Secretariat in Makurdi.
The lawmaker encouraged party members to stand firm and resist any attempts to defect, highlighting the PDP’s commitment to democratic values and inclusive governance.
He reiterated that by staying united, the PDP can continue to promote the well-being of the people of Benue State and provide a robust opposition to the ruling APC government, according to Daily Post.
He said, “We must choose the best to work for the party. APC is making mistakes already as the party has become a one-man show.
“Let’s put our house in order. Let us avoid division and come together, and we will rescue Benue from the draconian rule it’s currently experiencing under APC.”
A statement by his Media Assistant, Anthony John Ikwulono, quoted the Senator to have also decried the poor state of the country, saying Nigerians are haemorrhaging in self-orchestrated woes.
“Nigerians had the best opportunity to elect their best leader in 2023 but chose the current one, which has brought upon them an untold hardship. But don’t worry; we shall recover the country; our party members are united,” Moro added.
