One of the military leaders who took part in the coup in Niger Republic, General Salifou Mody, has arrived in Mali.
Premium Politics reported that coup plotters from the military ousted its democratically elected president, Mohammed Bazoum after sealing off the presidential office and read.
In a latest development, General Mody, has arrived in Mali, alongside other officials from the military.
According to AFP, a senior Nigerien official and a Malian security official, who pleaded anonymity stated that General Mody, has arrived Mali.
As at the time of filing this report, the purpose of the visit is yet to be ascertained.
It is gathered that while other nations and international bodies had condemned the coup, Mali is one of the few nations who expressed their support for the coup plotters.
