The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, met with her UK counterpart, Rt. Hon. Simon Case, in London to discuss collaboration and strengthening ties between the two nations’ civil services.
The meeting aimed to advance Nigeria’s civil service reforms, with a focus on capacity building, knowledge management, and enhancing Nigeria’s Civil Service Week.
According to the Director of Communications in the office of the HOCSF, Mrs. Eno Olotu, “The meeting focused on sharing knowledge and best practices to support Nigeria’s ongoing reform initiatives under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025.”
Both parties agreed to explore exchange programs and study tours to facilitate mutual learning, with an emphasis on knowledge sharing. The UK expressed its commitment to sharing insights on civil service development while recognizing the value of learning from Nigeria’s experiences.
Olotu stated, “The collaborative effort would strengthen the partnership, with both civil services enhancing each other’s capabilities and fostering a mutually beneficial relationship.”
She added, “The meeting underscores the commitment of Nigeria and the UK to building efficient and responsive civil services, with continued partnership and support in the years ahead.”
