The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has appealed to the organizers of the planned nationwide protest against the Federal Government to shelve their plans.
In a statement on Wednesday, the monarch advised aggrieved Nigerians to give the government time to implement its economic policies aimed at alleviating the current hardship.
Oba Ewuare II acknowledged that the situation is tough, but emphasized that it may take time for things to get better, according to Daily Post.
He urged the Federal Government to intensify efforts in implementing its economic and security policies.
