The Ogun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has set Saturday, September 30, to deliver judgment in the petition filed by Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party against the election of Governor Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress.
The tribunal had reserved judgment on September 4 after parties adopted their final written addresses.
The Hamidu Kunaza-led tribunal promised to communicate the date of judgment delivery to the parties.
The PUNCH reported that on Thursday, the tribunal sent notice to the counsel of the petitioners and the respondents, fixing Saturday for the judgment.
Media Aide to Adebutu, the first petitioner, Afolabi Orekoya, confirmed that judgment would be delivered on September 30.
Adebutu is requesting the tribunal to declare him the winner of the March 18 governorship election in Ogun State, alleging non-compliance with the electoral act.
