The Youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated Ambassador Dr. Bianca Odimegwu Ojukwu on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs (State).
In a statement released in Enugu, the group praised Bianca’s exemplary qualities and impressive background.
Bianca, wife of the late Dim Odumegwu Emeka Ojukwu, is a renowned diplomat, lawyer, and businesswoman.
Her achievements include winning multiple international pageant titles, such as Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Miss Africa, and Miss Intercontinental.
Her diplomatic career spans several roles, including Presidential Adviser, Ambassador to Ghana, and Ambassador to Spain in 2012.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth wing described her as a woman of substance, excellence, and selflessness.
In the same statement, the group urged President Bola Tinubu to establish a National Youth Conference.
They believe this would enable him to focus on nation-building and galvanize his leadership.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth wing expressed hope that President Tinubu would heed their call, describing him as the “father of the Nation.” Bianca’s appointment is seen as a significant achievement, and her expertise is expected to benefit Nigeria’s foreign affairs endeavors.
The press statement reads, “Amb Bianca Ojukwu, is a Nigerian diplomat, Lawyer, Businesswoman and most adoringly beauty pageant titleholder. She is a multiple International pageant titleholder, having won ‘Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria,Miss Africa and Miss Intercontinental.
“Formerly, a Presidential Adviser, She was the country’s Ambassador to Ghana and later on became Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain in 2012.
“It is instructive to note that over the years, this warm and beautiful woman has shown that she’s both a venerable and noble woman that gives her best in Service to our Nation.”
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth wing in the press statement also pleaded with President Bola Tinubu to heed to their request for a National Youth Conference, stating it will help him to galvanise his leadership of the country appropriately.
It reads,” In the same vein, we urge Mr President, to set up a robust template to kick-starting the National Youth Confab.within a short time, so as to enable him concentrate on the enormous task of Nation building.
“It is our utmost belief that Mr President will heed to our clarion call as the father of the Nation.”
