The Ondo State House of Assembly has directed the House Clerk, Benjamin Jaiyeola, to formally address the Deputy Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, regarding grave misconduct allegations brought against him.
According to the state’s television agency, the petition, signed by nine out of the 26 House Members, was formally presented during the plenary session, which was overseen by the Speaker, Olamide Oladiji.
According to speculations, the recent move by the state’s assembly is intended to start an impeachment process against the deputy governor.
Recall that the state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. SAN upon his arrival from his medical leave dismissed all aides attached to his deputy governor.
