An Ondo State High Court in Akure has nullified the establishment of 33 Local Council Development Areas introduced during the tenure of the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
The Nation reported that Justice A.O Adebusuoye, presiding over the case, ruled that the LCDAs were not established in accordance with the law.
“The creation of the LCDAs is unconstitutional and illegal,” Justice Adebusuoye declared.
Late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu had signed the bill into law in September 2023, which led to the creation of these 33 local council development areas.
