Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly are to resume legislative activities on Monday, July 17, 2023, after six weeks of recess.
The Lawmakers are thereby given the necessary 72 hours’ notice to resume, starting from Friday, July 14, 2023.
This was contained in a statement made by the Clerk of the House, Benjamin Jaiyeola.
He stated that the resumption is at the instance of the Speaker of the House, Olamide Oladiji, calling all the State House of Assembly Members to resume on Monday.
“The lawmakers are by this notice expected to attend to legislative assignments accordingly starting from Monday, while Mr Speaker wishes all Honourable Members travelling grace back from their various Constituencies.”
The Speaker of the House, while presiding at a plenary in June during the 10th Assembly inauguration declared a six weeks recess to enable the house put necessary things for the Lawmakers towards smooth legislative activities.
He noted that a 72 hours notice will be given to Members by the Clerk before resumption.
