Comedian Oluseyi Aletile, better known as Seyi Law, has cast his vote in the ongoing Ondo State governorship election.
Seyi Law, who serves as a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Entertainment and Tourism, participated in the election on Saturday at Polling Unit 5, Ugbo Ward 4, located in the Obenla community of Ilaje Local Government Area.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress candidate, is seeking re-election in the November 16 election, facing competition from Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party and Abbas Mimiko of the Zenith Labour Party, who are also considered strong contenders.
Speaking to journalists after voting, Seyi Law expressed confidence in his principal’s chances, predicting a “clean sweep” for Aiyedatiwa in the election.
He noted that the process had been peaceful at his polling unit, with timely voter accreditation and a large turnout.
The comedian described the atmosphere at his polling station as vibrant, with voters eagerly casting their ballots. He stated that the turnout indicated strong support for Aiyedatiwa, who he believes is deserving of another term as governor.
Seyi Law also shared his optimism about the election results, mentioning that he was confident of a victory for Aiyedatiwa in his polling unit.
He expressed his satisfaction with the election process, highlighting the smooth execution and active participation from the electorate.
“The election has been very peaceful in my polling unit. You can see that everything is going very well; people were accredited on time. People are casting their votes, it has been an amazing turnout, a massive turnout.
“That means the people are truly ready for the election, they are ready to cast their votes for the man that they believe deserves to be the governor of Ondo state. For me personally, it is honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
“I can tell you for a fact that I know it is a clean sweep in this polling unit. So we are still here awaiting the collation, people are in the queue casting their votes. It is beautiful to see,” Seyi Law said
