The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has reacted to the All Progressives Congress accusations of attempting to silence opposition party.
PDP, however, stated clearly that Ademola Adeleke’s government was on a mission to recover vehicles allegedly stolen by the previous administration.
The Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP, Bamiji Oladele, said that APC was crying wolf where there was none, according to the Sun.
He said that the current administration carried out an investigation and it was discovered that vehicles belonging to the government were carted away by the officers of the previous administration illegally.
He maintained that in an effort to recover those vehicles, a task force was mobilized to that effect.
The mouthpiece of the party added that PDP is not after silencing any opposition rather than to recover what belongs to the government.
“What the present administration did was to investigate the missing government vehicles and it was discovered that the vehicles were carted away by officials of the previous administration illegally, hence, a task force to recover the missing vehicles is put in place. We are not after anybody or attempting to silence opposition but to recover what they stole,” Olabamiji said.
