The traditional ruler of Umuhu-Ezechi clan in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Eze Chigaemezu Onwuchekwa, has showered praises on Governor Alex Otti and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for their outstanding contributions to the state’s development.
In a recent chat, Eze Onwuchekwa expressed his admiration for both leaders, saying they’ve done incredibly well in transforming the state for the better.
Governor Otti’s numerous road projects, including the Port Harcourt Road and Umuahia-Uzuakoli-Akara-Ohafia, have earned him accolades from the traditional ruler.
Additionally, Otti’s efforts to offset pension arrears owed to pensioners and clear salary arrears of tertiary institution workers inherited from previous administrations have been commendable.
Eze Onwuchekwa also heaped praise on Senator Kalu, describing him as a blessing to Abia North.
“In the history of representation of Abia North at the Senate, nobody has done what Senator Kalu is doing; in fact, he is a blessing for us from the area,” he said.
Kalu’s quality representation has led to the rehabilitation of numerous roads, schools, and health centers in the region.
The traditional ruler specifically thanked Kalu for retrofitting two schools in Umuhu-Ezechi and rehabilitating the Igbere-Umuhu Ezechi Road. He urged Kalu to extend the road rehabilitation to his community, Umuokwe, which has been cut off due to its deplorable condition. Eze Onwuchekwa assured Kalu of his people’s support and prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him.
Bende Local Government Area, where Umuhu-Ezechi is located, is one of the 17 LGAs in Abia State.
The area is known for its agricultural climate, suitable for rice production.
With leaders like Governor Otti and Senator Kalu, the region is poised for continued growth and development.
