The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji on Friday, appointed Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, as the new Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the media aide to Governor Oyebanji, Yinka Oyebode.
Oyebode in the statement, said the appointment of the prominent businessman and philanthropist, takes immediate effect.
The newly appointed EKSU Chancellor who hails from Are-Ekiti in Ekiti State, brings a wealth of experience to the role.
Olowolafe holds a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Ilorin.
According to the business guru, he had initially practised medicine before transitioning to business.
Before this appointment, Olowolafe earlier served as a member of the Ekiti State COVID-19 Resource Mobilisation Committee.
The new EKSU Chancellor founded Generic Product Limited in 1996, and he is also the chairman and managing director of Deux Investment Limited.
