A notable ex-officio member of the Peoples Democratic Party in the South West region and a significant figure in Oyo State politics, Alhaji AbdulYekeen Ademola Santos, has passed away.
His contributions were widely recognized and respected within the political community.
The news of his death was confirmed by Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity. Olajide, representing the Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, communicated this through a statement released on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha.
In his statement, Olajide underscored the profound impact of Santos’s death on the PDP members in Oyo State.
“Santos was a devoted and selfless leader who dedicated his life to the service of humanity, leaving an indelible mark on the political landscape of Oyo State, whose contributions to the development of the state and the PDP will be deeply missed,” he said.
He continued, “Santos was as a pillar of strength and a shining example of dedication and commitment to the PDP, whose demise serves as a reminder of the transience of life and the importance of cherishing the memories and legacies of our loved ones.”
