The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted that the Peoples Democratic Party will soon lose one of its governors to another party.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele attributed this impending loss to the party’s current leadership, according to Nigerian Tribune.
Ayodele predicted that the PDP’s leadership will lead the party to failure, and if unchecked, the party will “die” before 2027.
He described the PDP’s current status as a “mortuary,” emphasizing the need for urgent intervention.
He identified former Senate President David Mark and former Benue Governor Gabriel Suswam as the only individuals capable of reviving the party.
The prophet advised the PDP to establish a reconciliation committee to address internal conflicts and consider merging with the Labour Party to demonstrate seriousness.
This prediction comes amidst internal conflicts within the PDP, including the suspension of former Benue Governor Samuel Ortom.
The party’s national leadership has faced criticism for its handling of internal conflicts, with some governors expressing dissatisfaction.
“PDP Will soon lose a governor because the party is currently in a mortuary state. With Damagum as the party chairman, The party cannot succeed. Let them pick between Gabriel Suswam and David Mark, anyone of them will be able to stand the force of any political party and go to any length to make PDP prosper. Any of them will help PDP out of the mortuary they are in, any of these people, with the support of party members, can deliver the party.
“The party should also have a reconciliation committee if they want to move, they can do a lot to survive so that the party will not die. PDP has a lot to do ahead of 2027, the party should merge with the Labour Party to show seriousness. APC has attacked Labour party spiritually too, ’’ he predicted.
