Senate member, Orji Kalu, on Tuesday, visited the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), at the State House in Abuja.
Recall that, Kalu had already declared his intention to contest for Senate presidency in the 10th National Assembly.
The closed-door meeting with the president is likely one to declare his intentions personally to Buhari and also seek his support.
However, Kalu, on Tuesday, also declared that he would stop his new political ambition if the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, tells him to.
Orji Uzor Kalu is a Nigerian politician and businessman who is the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District. He also serves as the Chief Whip of the Senate. He served as Governor of Abia State from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007.
