The former Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, on Friday, joined the incumbent Governor of the State, Sheriff Oborevwori, in thanksgiving over his victory at the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal and the Supreme Court.
Okowa, sharing pictures from the thanksgiving ceremony, prayed that Oborevwori’s leadership will continue to be guided by wisdom and that Delta State would prosper under his governance.
In a tweet after the event, Okowa wrote, “Today, Edith and I joined Governor Sheriff Oborevwori at the Government House Chapel in Asaba to give thanks to God for his legal victories at the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal and the Supreme Court.
“As we give all the glory to God Almighty for His continuous mercies upon our dear state and for these successes, I pray that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s leadership will continue to be guided by wisdom and may Delta State prosper under his governance.
“Congratulations Governor Sheriff!
“For many years, Hon. Joan Onyemaechi has brought people together to share the word with them on her birthday.
“This year, it was a pleasure to once again join her family and friends to celebrate her exemplary life of service. As she has celebrated this day by honouring our Lord God Almighty, I pray that God will continue to honour her and grant her more wisdom and long life to keep doing the great work of her Father in Heaven.
“Amen!”
