President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday, met the Nigerian Troops, stationed in Bissau, as parts of the ECOWAS stabilisation Force, on his arrival at the Aeroporto International Airport in Guinea-Bissau.
Premium Politics had earlier reported that President Tinubu e in Abuja to attend the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic of West African States.
According to the Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, Mr Dele Alake, who announced the President’s trip, the Summit is scheduled for Sunday, July 9, 2023, in the Capital city of Bissau, Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
Alake stated that the major discussion at the meeting will be centred around the security challenges, facing the member states, while regional issues will also be discussed, with a focus on a comprehensive review of the Report of the 50th Ordinary Session of the Mediation and Security Council, among other important issues to be discussed.
However, Alake noted that the President will be back in Abuja, the nation’s capital, upon the conclusion of the meeting.
