A former presidential Aide, Reno Omokri has cautioned Nigerians, to be of the best behaviour and maintain a good diplomatic relationship, as President Bola Tinubu resolved the issue of a Visa ban on Nigerians, by the government of the United Arab Emirates.
Omokri gave this advice, following the lifting of the travelling ban on Nigerian citizens who wish to travel to Dubai.
Premium Politics reported that the UAE government lifted the ban which was placed on Nigerian immigrants to the country since October 2022, following the intervention of President Tinubu on Friday.
Reacting, the Omokri urged Nigerian immigrants to the country, to always put the nation above whatever they are doing in the foreign lands, because whatever they do will affect other Nigerians and Nigeria.
According to him, Nigerians have been known for some negative behaviours which they must put a stop to, to avoid being banned again, noting that there is a limit to what foreign countries can take.
“Dear citizens of Nigeria,
“Now that President Bola Tinubu has resolved the UAE visa ban on the Nigerian passport, please let us be on our best behaviour. Don’t be the one who spoils it for the rest of us.
“Sadly, we have become known for some rather negative practices I don’t want to enumerate here. You know them as well as I do. We must police ourselves and have a sense of national pride, or we will get banned again.
“There is a limit to what foreign governments can take. Let us consider the national interest and not repeat the same patterns that contributed to the ban so that we can all travel to Dubai without feeling ashamed,” he tweeted.
