A prominent Nigerian lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has criticized the Federal Government’s recent decision to increase phone calls and data tariffs by 50 percent, describing it as an indication of a government determined to worsen the plight of Nigerians.
Known for his vocal opposition to policies he views as detrimental to the public, Adeyanju expressed his disappointment with the current administration under President Bola Tinubu, claiming it is driving the country deeper into hardship.
In a post shared on social media on Wednesday, Adeyanju condemned the tariff hike, accusing the government of causing unnecessary suffering for Nigerians.
He labeled the administration as one that is intent on inflicting more pain on the citizens, further escalating poverty in the country.
He posted, “They just increased tariff for all phone calls in the country. The government has vowed that it must finish off Nigerians with suffering.
“A government from hell!” Adeyanju noted.
