President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, following the death of his elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
In a statement issued on Monday, the President conveyed deep sympathy to Governor Makinde, his family, and the people of Oyo State, describing the loss as profoundly sorrowful.
“With a heavy heart, I extend my deepest sympathies to you, your family, and the people of Oyo State on the passing of your beloved elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde,” President Tinubu stated.
Acknowledging the grief of losing a family member, the President said, “The loss of a loved one, especially a cherished elder brother, is a profound sorrow. In this time of mourning, I want you to know that I, along with many others, stand with you and your family.”
President Tinubu further emphasized the enduring importance of family values, highlighting the unity and love demonstrated by the Makinde family.
