President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has confirmed the appointment of Wura-Ola Adepoju as the substantive Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Adepoju, who had been serving as the acting CG since May 29, 2023, disclosed the confirmation to NIS staff during a parade.
She expressed gratitude to the present government for the confirmation and mentioned that the date for her decoration would be announced soon.
Stakeholders had earlier commended her appointment as the first south-western, female acting CG, describing it as historic.
