The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has charged ministerial nominees to be active in their calling as he described President Bola Tinubu as a ‘no-nonsense’ president.
The former Akwa Ibom State governor made the remark on Monday during the screening of the first female ministerial nominee, Uju-Ken Ohaneye, on the floor of the Senate.
Akpabio spoke against the backdrop of questions directed at the nominee regarding her humanitarian job and tax payment, according to Daily Post.
He said: “We have a no-nonsense president, so I believe that all ministers and appointees will be on their toes to give their best.
He also informed the ministerial designates that anyone who has served as governor and president, knows that the quality Tinubu wants are those who will help him to actualize his vision.
“Anybody who has had the opportunity to be a governor and a president knows he is looking for strength; people that can help you actualize your vision,” he added.
