President Bola Tinubu on Friday met with the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and outgone Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
According to The PUNCH, former governor of Delta State (1999-2007), James Ibori, and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu were also reported to have been present at the meeting.
They were said to have arrived at the presidential villa at around 4:30pm and were ushered into the President’s office.
Makinde and Wike, despite being members of the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party, are regarded as allies of President Tinubu and are said to have contributed to his win in the presidential election on February 25.
