President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja, to attend the inauguration of Hope Uzodimma, as the executive governor of Imo State.
Tinubu on Monday, January 15, 2024, left Abuja, the capital state of Nigeria to witness the event, which will mark the second term in the office of Uzodimma as the elected governor of the state.
President who left Abuja, after the celebration of the Armed Forces on Monday, where the wreath on the tomb of some fallen soldiers, was said to have been scheduled to also inaugurate some projects executed by Uzodimma’s administration.
Tinubu, after the governor’s inauguration to be held at Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, will inaugurate an upgraded stadium road, among other projects to be commissioned.
However, the occasion is expected to be graced by some political leaders, and economic and business heavyweights in the society.
Uzodimma won his second-term election bid during the recently concluded off-season election in the state, defeating his closest rivals from the Peoples Democratic Party, Samuel Anyanwu and Athan Achonu from the Labour Party.
