President Bola Tinubu has promised a review of minimum wage as the Federal Government is in talks with the organized labour towards reaching an immediate conclusion.
Tinubu made the pledge in his just concluded natiowide broadcast on Monday evening, which majorly focused on the state of the country’s economy.
This development is coming while the Nigerian Labour Congress has announced a nationwide strike to begin from Wednesday, August 2.
According to the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, the strike is to force the FG to reverse its policies which have made life harder for the poor.
The President commended owners of private business organisations who have already reviewed their workers’ salaries following the high cost of living, occasioned by fuel subsidy removal.
